KOMPSAT-3 is a Korean Multi-purpose satellite that launched in May 2012 with a mission to collect data in landscape topography, land and vegetation imagery. KOMPSAT-3 provides panchromatic resolution of 0.7m and multispectral resolution of 2.8m.
KOMPSAT-3 has a wide range of capabilities, especially for frequent monitoring of the same area. As of this, it allows for real-time response such as maritime surveillance, defence, security, emergency services and boarder security.
