Geoimage is pleased to officially announce two new talented professionals to the team, Alex Freire and Agam Sood, both bringing a wealth of knowledge and fresh perspectives to our growing company.
Alex Freire, a Bachelor of Science graduate with a major in astrophysics and environmental modelling from the Australian National University in Canberra, has taken the 1500km journey across Australia's east coast from regional Victoria to join the team in Brisbane. Alex's journey to Geoimage evolved around her passion in earth observation and seeking to understand ways to improve environmental health such as tracking global warming, adaptation of changing environments and human impacts.
In addition to Alex joining the team, Geoimage has brought on board Agam Sood, a remarkable addition to the technology team. Agam is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Information Technologies, majoring in computer science at Queensland University of Technology, and brings with him his knowledge and passion of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
"I love how it [artificial intelligence] allows us to solve complex problems in an efficient manner and how it could be used to automate so many tasks which were considered impossible before. I've always loved computer science and wanted to grow my knowledge and understanding ever since a young age. I'm thankful for Geoimage providing me the opportunity to work on some very exciting projects and have loved how everyone has made me feel very comfortable, especially with the fun personalities amongst the team".
With the addition of Alex and Agam joining the team, Geoimage is committed to maintaining its position as a geospatial and remote sensing industry leader whilst growing the capabilities of the next generation of future leaders.
Welcome Alex and Agam!
