Geoimage, a leading independent provider of satellite imagery and geospatial solutions, is pleased to announce the addition of two new team members, Abby West and Hamish Woodman.
Abby West, a Bachelor of Environmental Science student with a minor in Geospatial Analysis, is set to graduate at the end of 2023. With a passion for environmental restoration and a thorough understanding of geospatial technologies, Abby’s addition to the processing team promises to be a significant asset for Geoimage.
Abby’s experience includes geospatial analysis aimed at determining vegetation growth in restoration and rehabilitation areas. She also excels in processing remote sensing techniques, including multispectral and hyperspectral data. Abby’s journey to Geoimage stemmed from her research work with the Gold Coast Council, where she conducted research and geospatial analysis to assess vegetation growth in restoration and rehabilitation areas within the Gold Coast City Council area.
In addition to Abby, Geoimage has also brought Hamish Woodman on board as a valuable addition to the sales support team. Hamish is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering and brings previous experience in marine geospatial data processing, as well as a desire to learn all about the remote sensing industry.
Mark Covington, General Manager at Geoimage, expressed his excitement on the arrival of Abby and Hamish, stating, “The continued growth of the Geoimage team reflects the hard work of the company over the past 12 months and our commitment to developing new services such as Monitoring as a Service (MaaS). As the company continues to grow and evolve, we look forward to bringing our clients on the journey of satellite discovery and solving real-world challenges. Abby and Hamish will broaden the culture and knowledge base of our team and we welcome them with great enthusiasm.”
The addition of Abby and Hamish demonstrates Geoimage’s commitment to maintaining its position as a geospatial and remote sensing industry leader. This inclusion further strengthens Geoimage’s ability to provide innovative solutions and exceed client expectations.
